# Bellewaerde Park

Bellewaerde combines rides and animal attractions near Ypres, creating a Belgian family day with more than one possible pace. The appeal is the ability to alternate between different kinds of interest, rather than expecting every member of the group to chase the same coaster. It is a good candidate when the park itself can be the main outing of the day.

Wakala and Huracan offer family-oriented coaster experiences, while Boomerang adds a stronger thrill option and Dawson Duel brings another style of riding. The animal areas form part of the destination’s identity and deserve time in the plan. The separate Bellewaerde Aquapark is another decision, not something to assume is automatically included in a park ticket.

### Planning your visit

Compare the exact park and aquapark products before choosing a visit. Read individual boarding and access requirements, then arrange a few shared priorities with room for animal viewing and a meal. Follow the official Meenseweg arrival instructions and allow time for the journey around Ypres. A varied day works better when the quieter parts are planned as worthwhile experiences, not merely gaps between queues.

## THMPRK Score

6.9 /10

Bellewaerde earns its score through the combination of family rides and animal attractions. It is a stronger proposition for a mixed group than for visitors who want only an intense coaster collection. The best value comes from using the variety and choosing the right ticket, particularly when considering the separately presented aquapark.
