# Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park is a straightforward proposition for a group that wants a day of large thrill rides near London. Its island setting contains a concentrated collection of coasters, with less emphasis on a broad young-family day than some other British parks. Check that the people travelling want this particular sort of outing before choosing it on proximity alone.

Hyperia, Stealth, The Swarm and Nemesis Inferno give enthusiasts contrasting reasons to visit. Heights, restraint requirements and individual confidence matter, so read the current ride information before making a shared shortlist. A non-rider or a small child will need a different plan from someone determined to try every major coaster.

Choose a handful of priorities and keep alternatives nearby in case a ride stops. Check the event calendar carefully, particularly if you want a seasonal evening programme, and include food, parking or transport in the budget. For arrival, use the Staines Road entrance and follow the park’s official instructions: its directions warn that sat-nav routes can lead towards the wrong local road. An overnight cabin package has separate benefits and conditions to compare.

### Planning your visit

Choose a realistic set of major rides and keep nearby alternatives if one closes. Check individual requirements and seasonal event access before buying, and plan the return journey as carefully as the arrival.

### Getting there

Use the official visitor address: Staines Road, Chertsey, Surrey KT16 8PN, England, United Kingdom. Follow current operator directions for the approach and parking. The map identifies the park rather than promising a specific vehicle gate or hotel check-in.

### Visiting with children

## THMPRK Score

7.3 /10

Thorpe Park scores well for a concentrated collection of major coasters and a clear thrill-seeking audience. It is a stronger choice for riders than for a group wanting a broad, gentle family day. Queues, operating interruptions and the cost of extras can narrow the value, so a realistic shortlist and a suitable visit date make a substantial difference.
