# Wunderland Kalkar Amusement Park

Wunderland Kalkar gives a family amusement day an unlikely backdrop: a former nuclear-power-station site repurposed for leisure. The amusement park is one part of a wider destination that also includes hotels and events, and it is worth keeping those scopes separate. Come for the children’s and family attractions, with the unusual setting adding a story that an ordinary fairground cannot offer.

The ride collection includes a roller coaster, a Ferris wheel and water and play attractions, with a park map that helps families choose a manageable route. The destination also promotes food-inclusive formats and accommodation packages, but the specific day ticket or stay determines the actual inclusions. A hotel booking, event ticket and amusement-park visit should not be treated as interchangeable ways to enter every part of Wunderland.

### Planning your visit

Use Griether Straße 110–120 in Kalkar and the operator’s route advice for the approach and parking. Check the amusement calendar separately from hotel stays and special events. Match rides to the children’s requirements before comparing products, then read the food and drink terms alongside any dietary needs. An overnight package is useful only if its park-access dates align with the stay. Leave enough time for shared family favourites rather than judging the outing by the biggest ride alone.

## THMPRK Score

7.2 /10

Wunderland Kalkar’s score reflects a family-focused ride collection, an unusually memorable setting and the potential convenience of inclusive products. It is most persuasive for visitors who will use those inclusions. The distinction between park, hotel and events matters, and its appeal is family variety rather than a concentration of major thrill coasters.
