# Carousel Gardens Amusement Park

Carousel Gardens gives New Orleans families a playful detour within City Park. Its scale suits a manageable amusement outing, with traditional rides and children’s attractions rather than the demands of a major destination park. The setting is part of the pleasure: leave room for the surrounding public park instead of turning a visit into a hurried attempt to extract every possible ride.

The historic carousel, known as the Flying Horses, supplies the park’s signature. The City Park Train, Music Express and Ladybug Rollercoaster offer different levels of excitement, and smaller rides give younger children their own priorities. Daily admission is presented with unlimited rides and access to Storyland, the neighbouring storybook attraction; check the actual dated product before deciding how much of the day to reserve for each.

### Planning your visit

Use 7 Victory Avenue for Carousel Gardens rather than an arbitrary City Park entrance. Choose attractions around the youngest rider’s requirements, then alternate rides with rest and refreshments. Compare a day ticket with membership-related options only if repeat visits are realistic. Check the amusement schedule separately from the wider park and review participation rules in advance. A light itinerary leaves room for a favourite second ride and makes the surrounding park an asset rather than another obligation.

## THMPRK Score

7.2 /10

Carousel Gardens earns its score through a distinctive historic carousel, approachable family rides and a setting that expands the day beyond the midway. It is especially attractive for families who can use both the amusement park and Storyland. Its modest scale is a strength for younger visitors, though thrill seekers will find a narrower range.
