Waldameer gives an Erie holiday a classic amusement-park day near the approach to Presque Isle. Its appeal is a combination of a substantial wooden coaster, smaller rides and Water World, with room to choose the parts that suit your party. It works particularly well when the park can be enjoyed as part of a longer Lake Erie trip rather than a rushed detour.

 

Ravine Flyer II is the main coaster draw, while Comet and Steel Dragon offer different levels and styles of riding. The wider family collection and water park can broaden the outing considerably. Do not let a single signature attraction obscure the question of what the rest of the group will enjoy.
