A familiar water park gains a national brand
Six Flags announced that Wet’n’Wild Phoenix would take the Hurricane Harbor name for the 2019 season. The company’s contemporary announcement described a rebranding of an existing water park, not the construction of a wholly new destination. That distinction explains why older accounts of the Phoenix-area site use a different name. A change in brand is one chapter in a park’s history, separate from its original development.
