The story behind the day out
An aquatic resort opens on Palm Jumeirah
Atlantis, The Palm opened in September 2008. The operator’s historical account describes an ocean-themed resort with marine and entertainment attractions and Aquaventure water recreation. The destination’s origin connects the hotel and the park environment, rather than treating the water attractions as an unrelated later business. Its 2008 opening is distinct from Dubai’s earlier Wild Wadi water-park development.
