Destination guide
Queensland’s attraction history includes a coastal cluster where water parks developed alongside other major entertainment destinations.
The story behind the day out
Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast began in 1984 as Cades County Waterpark. It adopted the Wet’n’Wild name in 1986. The sequence is a reminder that the same destination can appear under several names in photographs and older holiday accounts. Its development belongs to the Gold Coast’s permanent-park era, with slides and pools forming a dedicated destination rather than simply an extra hotel facility.
