An inland city builds a water-park identity

Thermas dos Laranjais opened in Olímpia on 7 November 1987. The park’s anniversary account traces the idea further back, to a town shaped by coffee production in the mid-twentieth century. Its history therefore connects a new leisure attraction with the changing identity of an inland community. The park’s opening year marks the start of public operation, while the project’s planning and local economic background began earlier.
