An estate opens its gates, then adds water
Duinrell opened its estate to the public in 1935. Its official timeline records the arrival of campers in 1953, an official campsite in 1959 and the opening of the Tiki Pool in 1984. These stages explain the destination’s layered identity. The water park was a later addition to a much older visitor landscape, rather than the beginning of Duinrell’s public history.
