A water attraction gains a new identity
A June 2018 tourism report describes the launch of Tianjin Playa Maya Water Park after an expansion built on an earlier water-park phase. The new development introduced a larger themed setting and a broader range of aquatic attractions. This is why the Playa Maya milestone should be distinguished from the start of the original water facilities: the later identity represents redevelopment and expansion within an existing destination.
