About Ontario Place — Trillium Park
Trillium Park gives Toronto’s waterfront a place to slow down and look back at the city. Within Ontario Place, the landscaped public space and William G. Davis Trail invite a walk, a picnic or a pause by Lake Ontario. It is a useful outing precisely because it need not become another busy attraction schedule.
The park’s design draws on Ontario landscapes, with native planting, stone formations and a route shaped in consultation with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The trail connects this waterfront space with the wider walking network. Ontario Place is a larger destination undergoing change, so a current Trillium Park visit should not inherit promises about former rides, the Cinesphere or every area shown on an old site map.
The most memorable details are close at hand: the stone walls of the Ravine frame a first glimpse of Lake Ontario, while the Bluff turns stacked rock into a long place to sit beside the water. At the southern end, the Summit offers a different view of Toronto’s skyline. These are places to linger, not attractions that require a queue. The 1.3-kilometre William G. Davis Trail gives the visit a natural thread, with native planting and small gathering places adding reasons to leave the most direct route.

Planning your visit
Check the current site-access guide and use the entry route appropriate to Trillium Park. The Lake Shore Boulevard address identifies Ontario Place, not every individual visitor entrance. Choose a comfortable waterside walk and leave time to stop, particularly with children or anyone who needs a gentler pace. Check permits or reservations for organised activities such as fire-pit use separately. A simple visit focused on the lake and skyline can be complete without adding a paid attraction.
