About Flamingo Land
Flamingo Land is an unusually broad day out in the North Yorkshire countryside: a theme park, zoo and holiday village on the same site. That mix is its attraction, but also the reason to arrive with a little direction. Trying to see every animal and ride every coaster can turn an appealingly varied visit into a race across the grounds.
The coaster collection includes Sik, Kumali, Mumbo Jumbo and Velocity, with gentler family and children's rides offering a different pace. The zoo deserves deliberate time rather than whatever remains after the rides. For a mixed group, the most useful plan may be two or three shared anchors with room to follow separate interests between them.
At a glance
- More than a ride park
- The site combines a theme park and zoo with its own holiday village.

Planning your visit
Decide whether you are coming principally for rides, animals or a short break before comparing admission and accommodation. A holiday-village stay changes the rhythm of the visit, but its facilities and package inclusions should be checked separately from a day ticket. Read the ride restrictions with the group, use the park map to reduce backtracking, and allow for the rural final approach. The operator's Kirby Misperton address is more useful than relying on Malton alone.
