About Australia Zoo
Australia Zoo is a wildlife day in Beerwah with a strong connection to the Irwin family and the Crocodile Hunter story. It deserves to be treated as a zoo visit, with time to watch animals and explore habitats, rather than as a theme park whose success is measured in rides completed. The Sunshine Coast location can anchor a full day of a Queensland trip.
The animal collection and conservation presentations are the central experience. Use the current zoo map and programme to choose the habitats and talks that matter to your group, then leave room for slower observation between them. Optional animal encounters are a separate choice, with their own booking and participation requirements; they are not necessary to make the ordinary visit worthwhile.

Planning your visit
Start with the day's presentation times and build a route that leaves time between fixed commitments. Plan for outdoor walking, sun protection and breaks, and check the zoo's facilities and accessibility information for your party. Compare general admission with any extras before booking. Use the Beerwah arrival guidance, and allow enough time on site that the journey does not turn the day into a rushed circuit.
